In my preaching, Jesus,

   help me to listen,

 
help my heart to

   be willing

   and ready

   to catch your nudging.

 
When I think I am right

and have all the answers,

help my mind to

   be open

   to hear the lesson

   I need to learn.

Create space in me

   so I can be receptive

   to where I need to grow.

How can I better preach your Word?

What can I learn?

How can I grow?

Bring me to the limits of my love,

the edge of my knowing.

Grant me guides to open

   unexpected paths to

   your Grace.
